Kahuzak: I don't consider myself a head coach yet, but I'm on the way to becoming one

Yannick Cahuzac, the new head coach of RC Lens, spoke about taking on the role after the departure of Dino Toppmöller, confirming that he is still in the learning phase and gaining experience as a head coach.

Kahuzak said in statements reported by the newspaper 'L'Équipe': 'I do not yet consider myself a head coach, but I am on the path to becoming one,' pointing out that the transition from assistant coach to the main responsibility requires him to take on new responsibilities and adapt to them.

RC Lens have parted ways with Topmüller by mutual consent after just six matches in charge, with the club deciding to give Kahouzak, who was part of his coaching staff, the opportunity to lead the team in the upcoming phase.

Kahouzak is 41 years old and previously worked as an assistant at RC Lens. He also managed the Corsica national team and is now embarking on his first experience as a head coach for a professional club. He is preparing to lead RC Lens in their next match against AS Monaco in Ligue 1.
