Officially: Thomas Reis appointed manager of Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor have appointed German coach Thomas Reis as the new manager of the team, replacing Fatih Tekke, who left his position recently.

Rice, 52, has signed a one-season contract with Trabzonspor, with an option to extend for an additional season, marking the start of his new role with the Turkish team.

Rais has been in charge of Ludogorets in Bulgaria since July 2026, before agreeing to move to Trabzonspor, having previously had a stint in the Turkish league with Samsunspor from 2024 to 2026.

Rice is set to lead Trabzonspor in their upcoming match against Galatasaray, marking his first test at the helm of the team's coaching staff.
