Barcelona achieves historic start never seen before
Barcelona, under coach Hans Flick, continues their perfect start to the season, having achieved seven consecutive victories since the beginning of their campaign, marking a historic beginning that the Catalan club has never achieved before.
FC Barcelona secured their seventh consecutive victory against Racing Santander, having previously won against Elche, Athletic Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano, Valencia, and Levante in LaLiga, along with their win in the UEFA Champions League against Feyenoord.
Mundo Deportivo reports that this record has placed Flick's team in Barcelona's history, surpassing previous figures for the best starts under various coaches.
Barcelona had a strong start to the 1929/1930 season under coach James Bellamy, and they repeated this in the 1960/1961 season with coach Ljubisa Brocic, who led the team to victory in the first 4 rounds of LaLiga, alongside two matches in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League against Belgian side Lierse.
In the 2018/2019 season under Ernesto Valverde, FC Barcelona achieved five victories in LaLiga against Alavés, Real Valladolid CF, Huesca, and Real Sociedad, in addition to a win in the Supercopa de España against Sevilla, and another in the UEFA Champions League against PSV Eindhoven.
With their victory over Racing Santander, Barcelona under Flick continues to write a new chapter in the club's history, achieving the best start to the season in terms of consecutive wins.
