Raphinha: Flick changed my mentality with Barcelona, and this is what I will always do with Yamal
The Brazilian Raphinha, a player for FC Barcelona, spoke about his team's big win over Racing Santander, stressing the importance of continuing to develop. He also praised the mentality of his teammates and expressed his great appreciation for coach Hans Flick.
Raphinha said: "It is always important to think that you need to develop in something, I will never tell you that I am at my best level, because I am always trying to improve everything I can, there is definitely something I can offer the team more than what I am currently providing."
He added: "I am happy with the goals and the victory, as that is the most important thing. We must continue to evolve, as a team as well. I believe the players' desire to achieve more is always there; we have a mentality that drives us to seek more goals and create more chances."
Raphinha continued speaking about the mentality of FC Barcelona players: "This is evident on the pitch through the way we interact as teammates; at that moment, Adiemi saw that Lamine was in a better position to score."
The Brazilian winger praised coach Hans Flick, saying: "I have always said that Flick is the coach who changed my mentality within the club, as well as my view of myself. I am very grateful to him, and whenever I have the opportunity, I will show him that."
Regarding Lamine Yamal's missed penalty, Raphinha explained: "We always have to think about the team, in the first half Lamine needed the penalty, and he missed it, but nothing happened. I can also miss it."
He concluded his statements by affirming his support for his teammates: "I will always help him, him and the rest of my teammates. I know that goals are essential for a striker; we are a family, and everyone must be okay, and we all need to walk the same path."
