Raphinha outshines Mbappé in LaLiga top scorers race

Raphinha continues to shine with FC Barcelona in LaLiga, scoring a brace against Racing to raise his tally to 8 goals in the competition and surpass Kylian Mbappé at the top of the scoring chart.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", the Brazilian forward is delivering impressive performances in his new role as a central striker, having added another brace to his tally, which came from a penalty and a low shot inside the box.

Raphinha won a penalty in the 22nd minute after receiving a brilliant through ball from Pedri and surged into the area, before being brought down by Pedro Felipe, who stepped on his ankle.

The referee delayed the decision to award a penalty after reviewing the VAR for a potential offside before the incident, but the review confirmed there was no offside infringement, leading to Raphinha being awarded the penalty, which he successfully converted.

Raphinha scored his second goal during the final quarter of the first half, after receiving the ball inside the penalty area and firing a precise low shot, bringing his tally to 8 goals and taking the lead in the LaLiga top scorers chart.

Raphinha has scored in five of the six rounds of LaLiga, with the only match he did not score in being against Levante. In the other matches, he netted two goals against Elche, one goal against Athletic Bilbao, two goals against Rayo Vallecano, and one goal against Valencia, before adding a brace against Racing.
