Milan appoints James Fontanella-Khan from Financial Times

AC Milan are set to add a prominent name to their management structure by hiring James Fontanella Khan, the American financial editor at the Financial Times, as the Chief Executive Officer for Institutional Affairs at the club, according to reports circulating today.

Fontanilla Khan, who has worked at the Financial Times since 2005, will end his journey with the newspaper after more than 20 years, starting his new role with AC Milan after the end of October. This move reflects the club's management's direction to enhance the institutional and strategic aspects within the club.

The new official is expected to work closely with Gerry Cardinale, owner of AC Milan and founder of "RedBird", while reports suggest he will split his time between Milan and New York, handling the club's institutional affairs during a phase marked by several strategic projects.

Fontanilla Khan has extensive experience in the world of finance and business, having worked in London, Brussels, India, and the United States, where he was responsible for covering major financial institutions on Wall Street, private investment, and asset management. He also previously played football as a goalkeeper at an academy of one of the Serie A clubs during his youth.
