Kylian Mbappé explained his position: "Why didn't I wear the Ceuta shirt? Let me clarify this correctly. It was the club's decision, and the players were supposed to wear the shirt."

He added: "The first thing I want to say is that I stand fully with Ceuta and all the victims. Because before I am a football player, I am a human being, but I also wanted to make a gesture and think of all the migrants who have lost their lives, and who also live in extremely difficult conditions."

He continued: "It was not easy for me to be in this position. It was difficult, because people might think that I am against the people of Ceuta, but no, definitely not.
