FC Barcelona targets €1.45 billion annual revenue before 2031

FC Barcelona is preparing to hold its general assembly on Saturday to present the final accounts for the 2025/2026 season and the budget for the new season, alongside a business plan aimed at reaching annual revenues of €1.45 billion before 2031.

Mundo Deportivo reports that last season's final accounts showed an operational profit of €150,000, but the final result revealed losses of €18 million after accounting for exceptional items and corporate tax.

The budget for the 2026/2027 season includes expected revenues of €1.195 billion against expenses of €1.133 billion, with a positive result of €1 million anticipated after accounting for financial results and the Espai Barça project.

During the assembly, FC Barcelona will request an increase in the debts of the Espai Barça project and the issuance of new bonds, alongside the launch of the Babilon Park project and the housing project in the United Arab Emirates in collaboration with Ohana Development, which will become a new global sponsor for the club.

FC Barcelona's plan to reach its targeted revenues relies on Spotify Camp Nou after its completion as the main economic driver. The club expects an increase of €60 million from stadium revenues based on a capacity of 62,000 spectators, along with €50 million from BLM activities.

The budget has been prepared according to conservative standards, accounting for expenses related to winning LaLiga and reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona's losses amounting to €18 million are primarily due to a new drop in the value of Barcelona Productions, while the signing of Anthony Gordon has impacted the accounts, as part of the depreciation of the transfer fee has been accounted for in the 2025/2026 season.

In terms of revenue, FC Barcelona achieved €225 million from the stadium compared to an expected €226 million, and €43 million from player transfers instead of €55 million, while commercial revenues reached €527 million compared to a budgeted €543 million.
