Atlético thrash Osasuna 4-0 ahead of derby

Atlético secured a big and deserved victory against Osasuna, winning 4-0, in the match that took place on Wednesday evening at the Al Riyadh Metropolitano Stadium, as part of the sixth round of LaLiga.

Atlético took control early in the match, with Jonathan David scoring the opener in the 25th minute, giving the home side a deserved advantage before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Atlético continued to apply pressure, and Lee Kang-in managed to score the second goal in the 54th minute, after an assist from Jonathan David.

Atlético did not stop looking for more, as Rubén Loftus-Cheek added the third goal in the 63rd minute, before Álex Baena capped off the goal fest by scoring the fourth in the 82nd minute, following an assist from Cardoso.

With this victory, Atlético have moved up to 13 points, placing them third in the LaLiga table, while Osasuna remain on 7 points in 13th place.

Atletico Madrid's victory is particularly significant as it comes just days before the highly anticipated derby against Real Madrid, scheduled for next Sunday as part of the seventh round of LaLiga.
