Tebas criticises Mbappé, Konaté and Vinícius for Ceuta support shirts

Javier Tebas, the president of LaLiga, has criticized Kylian Mbappé, Ibrahima Konaté, and Vinícius Júnior for not fully wearing shirts with a message of support for the city of Ceuta before the Real Madrid vs Elche match in the sixth round of LaLiga.

Real Madrid and Elche players wore shirts during the warm-up with the phrase 'Todos somos Caballas', meaning 'We are all from Ceuta', in support of the city located in North Africa.

Mbappé, Konaté and Vinícius sparked controversy in Spain after the players decided to hide the message or not wear the shirt in the way that the other players did.

Javier Tebas stated during a conference in Huesca: "We saw that three players decided not to wear the shirt, because wearing it partially is like not wearing it at all. I find this to be a bad thing."

The president of LaLiga added: "These are institutional actions concerning the club, and not personal actions where you should express your personal opinion. This matter was not related to any political issue or personal ideology, nor was it in any way regarding Real Madrid."

Real Madrid secured the match against Elche with a score of 3-2, in a game that saw Kylian Mbappé participate.
