New registration ban threatens Zamalek SC due to Abdel Hamid Maali
Ibrahim Abdel Jawad has revealed new developments regarding the financial case of Moroccan player Abdelhamid Aali, former star of Zamalek SC, and his overdue payments pending before FIFA.
Abdel Jawad stated, quoting Abdel Hamid Maali's agent, that the Players' Status Chamber of FIFA issued a decision on July 31, obliging Zamalek SC to pay $600,000 to the player.
The club had a 45-day deadline to file an appeal against the decision; however, according to the player's agent, Zamalek SC did not submit an appeal within the specified time.
Abdeljawad explained that Abdel Hamid Maali himself submitted an appeal to demand an increase in the amount ruled, noting that Zamalek SC's failure to file an appeal, according to the player's agent, could result in a new penalty of a registration ban, in addition to a disciplinary registration suspension.
The player's resumption of the demand for an increase in the compensation amount could also lead to raising the amount due from $600,000 if his request is accepted.
