Mido: Al Ahly's level is worse than last season

Ahmed Hossam Mido has commented on Al Ahly's victory over Abu Qir for Fertilizers yesterday, Tuesday, with a clean two-goal win in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Mido stated during his show "Odat El Labs" on Al Nahar channel that Al Ahly are lucky to be facing a team the size of Abou Qir Fertilizers, pointing out that the differences between the two teams give Al Ahly a chance to secure victory despite the level they are performing.

He added: "There are significant question marks regarding Al Ahly's performance, and there are clear defensive issues in the team, which is noticeable. Yassin Marai has major problems dealing with spaces, and Al Ahly is experiencing a lack of harmony among the players despite winning matches."

Mido has pointed out that Al Ahly's management is facing a major crisis due to the team's performance, stating: "Al Ahly are far from the level that the fans were expecting; in fact, the team's performance is worse than last season."

Mido concluded his remarks by stating that there is a state of confusion and anticipation among the fans of Al Ahly due to the team's declining performance, emphasizing that the upcoming challenges will be more complex, which will increase the pressure on the players and the coaching staff if there is no radical change in performance.
