Officially.. the Green announces its squad for Gulf 27
The Saudi national team, led by Georgios Donis, has revealed the final squad for the Gulf Cup 'Gulf 27', which will be hosted in Jeddah.
The Saudi national team has announced a squad of 26 players in preparation for the tournament scheduled from September 23 to October 6, with the participation of 8 teams.
The goalkeeping squad includes Mohammed Al-Owais, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, and Hamad Youssef, while the defense list features Abdulilah Al-Amri, Jihad Dhikri, Rayan Hamid, Hassan Kadesh, and Hassan Al-Tambakti.
Donis has selected Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Mohammed Mahrazi, Moteb Al-Harbi, and Zakaria Hawsawi in the defensive line for the Saudi national team in the Gulf tournament.
In midfield, the selections for the Green included Musab Al-Juwair, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Mohammed Kanno, Ziyad Al-Jahani, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dawsari, and Alaa Al-Hajji.
The attacking line featured Sultan Mandash, Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat, Hamam Al-Hamami, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Feras Al-Buraikan, and Abdullah Al-Salem.
The matches of Gulf Cup 27 will take place at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, marking the city's first hosting of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
The draw has placed the Saudi national team in Group A alongside Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait, while Group B includes Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Yemen.
Eight teams will participate in the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, where they will compete over 15 matches to determine the champion of the tournament, which is being hosted in Jeddah for the first time.
