Manchester United renew interest in signing Branthwaite

Manchester United have renewed their contacts with Jarrad Branthwaite's representatives as they continue to pursue the Everton defender, with Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Atlético monitoring his situation.

TEAMtalk has learned that new communications have taken place between Manchester United and Jarrad Branthwaite's camp, as the club continues to plan for strengthening the centre-back position in preparation for life after Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martínez, with potential changes starting from 2027.

Manchester United remain interested in defender Jarrad Branthwaite since making two offers for him in 2024, while Branthwaite, aged 24, has begun to overcome his injury issues and has made a strong start to the season with Everton.

Everton value Jarrad Branthwaite at around £80 million after renewing his contract until 2030, and the club insists they will not sell him unless his stance changes significantly.

Jarrad Branthwaite has also returned to the plans of the England national team, after sources confirmed to TEAMtalk that members of Thomas Tuchel's coaching staff have been monitoring the player, who has become one of the candidates to join the squad for the upcoming Nations League matches.
