Spotify Camp Nou reveals new features of its anticipated facade
Spotify Camp Nou is gradually regaining its features, coinciding with the ongoing development work at the stadium and FC Barcelona's return to play its matches there. Meanwhile, external lighting tests have begun to reveal a glimpse of the expected appearance of the stadium after the project is completed.
The "Mundo Deportivo" newspaper reported that the stadium underwent new tests for the external lighting in recent hours, which included the operation of the decorative panels on the facade, this time in the colors of the senyera, the flag of Catalonia.
These tests come after similar trials conducted last August, showcasing new LED outdoor lighting systems that displayed various effects and colors. This provided a glimpse of the new exterior of Spotify Camp Nou upon the completion of the development works.
The lighting is part of the technological transformation taking place at the stadium as part of the Espai Barcelona project, which includes equipping Spotify Camp Nou with the latest technologies as part of a redevelopment process aimed at providing a completely renewed experience for fans.
Alongside the lighting work, construction has continued over the past few months, particularly in the third stand and the structure designated to support the new roof of the stadium.
The supporting arch of the roof has come very close to completion during August, while internal work continues in the third stand, alongside the nearing completion of the installation of the glass facades for the double-tiered VIP boxes.
