Real Madrid escape certain defeat against Elche to snatch a late win

Real Madrid returned with a difficult and precious win against Elche, with a score of 3-2, in the match held at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium, as part of the sixth round of LaLiga.

Following this victory, Real Madrid has moved up to 15 points in second place, temporarily level with FC Barcelona, who are playing their match against Racing, while Elche remains at two points in twentieth and last place in the LaLiga table.

Arda Güler opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 25th minute with a stunning direct free kick that hit the post before deflecting off Elche goalkeeper Matías Dituro and finding the back of the net, giving his team the lead.

Kylian Mbappé doubled Real Madrid's lead by scoring the second goal in the 33rd minute, after the ball reached Jan Djoemandi, who delivered a precise cross into the penalty area, allowing the French forward to skillfully convert it into the net.

Despite Real Madrid's dominance and missing several easy chances to extend their lead, Elche managed to reduce the deficit in the 71st minute through Abel Osorio, who capitalized on a cross from Sepida and headed it into the net past Thibaut Courtois.

In the 83rd minute, Elche equalised through Fer Niño after a pass from Josan, who shot from inside the penalty area to find the back of Thibaut Courtois' net. However, Real Madrid managed to snatch victory in the 90+1 minute through Carlos Espí, assisted by Kylian Mbappé.
