Barcelona brings Adeyemi back into Germany's plans

Karim Adeyemi, a player for FC Barcelona, is approaching a return to consideration for the Germany national team, as Jürgen Klopp has included him among the players he intends to call up for his first squad with the Mannschaft, according to Sky Sport Germany.

Karim Adeyemi has been absent from the national team for nearly a year, with his last appearance coming on October 13, 2025, against the Republic of Ireland. He has fallen out of Julian Nagelsmann's plans and will miss Germany's squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The player has made 11 international appearances, scoring one goal.

Karim Adeyemi began his international career in September 2021, when he was 19 years old, scoring a goal in the 6-0 win against Armenia. He then returned to the national team during the finals of the UEFA Nations League in 2025, where he participated against Italy, Portugal, and France.

Since his transfer to FC Barcelona this summer from Borussia Dortmund for a fixed fee of 22 million euros plus variables, Adeyemi has started well under Hans Flick, scoring in both matches he has started, including a goal against Levante.

Despite not having a permanent starting spot, his speed and ability to exploit spaces and dribble have made him an important option for Flick, while his current form may give him a new opportunity to return to the Germany national team with Klopp.
