Referee for FC Barcelona and Racing match in LaLiga

The referees' committee has appointed international referee José Luis Munuera to officiate the match between FC Barcelona and Racing Santander, scheduled for Wednesday evening at Spotify Camp Nou, as part of LaLiga, with Carlos Del Cerro Grande serving as the VAR official.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Munuera will officiate his third match this season, making it his 36th encounter with FC Barcelona, thus making the Catalan team the club he has officiated the most in his career in Spanish football.

In the previous 35 matches, FC Barcelona achieved 26 victories, along with 3 draws and 6 defeats under Monuera. The team's last match with him was against Celta Vigo on April 22, which ended in a 1-0 victory for FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona's last defeat with this referee was against Villarreal, losing 5-3 at home on May 18, 2025, in the penultimate round of the 2024/2025 season.

On the other hand, Munuera has officiated 3 matches for Racing Santander, achieving one win and one defeat. The last encounter he had with them was nearly 10 years ago, when they lost to Athletic 2-1 in the Copa del Rey on December 1, 2016.
