Renard: Morocco leads African football and its facilities rival the best in the world
Hervé Renard, coach of the Ivory Coast national team, praised the position that the Moroccan national team has now achieved on the international stage, confirming that the "Atlas Lions" are currently the most prominent team on the African continent, thanks to the significant development that Moroccan football has witnessed in recent years.
Renard explained that Morocco's results in the World Cup, having reached the semi-finals in 2022 and the quarter-finals in 2026, reflect its superiority over other African teams in international competitions.
The French coach, who previously managed the Morocco national team, praised the national football system, noting that Morocco has a professional organization and advanced infrastructure, along with budgets that rival those of the best national teams in the world.
Renard has urged the rest of the African teams to benefit from Morocco's experience and to work on enhancing investment in infrastructure and developing football, emphasizing that the African continent is rich in talents capable of reaching the highest levels of the game globally.
