De Zerbi faces the sack at Tottenham
Roberto De Zerbi, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, is facing increasing pressure following the team's rocky start in the Premier League.
TEAMtalk reported that Tottenham have only earned two points from their first four matches, without scoring a goal, placing them in 17th position, despite spending around £320 million to strengthen their squad during the summer.
Tottenham face a crucial week with a match against Liverpool in the EFL Cup, followed by Aston Villa in the Premier League, amid warnings that losing both matches could increase the pressure on De Zerbi.
Alex Crook stated on the All Access podcast from "talkSPORT" that things could quickly unravel for De Zerbi, accusing the manager of starting to make excuses and shifting the blame onto his players.
Analyst Troy Deeney has also criticized the Italian coach, stating that he holds the players responsible for the results. He pointed out the criticism of Richarlison and Tille, questioning the situation of other players such as Matheus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Savio.
In contrast, Riki Sáez, a Tottenham fan and talkSPORT analyst, defended De Zerbi, confirming that the team needs time to gel, especially with the arrival of many new players.
