Richarlison responds to De Zerbi after being left out of Tottenham

Richarlison continues to escalate his stance against Tottenham and manager Roberto De Zerbi after responding briefly to his exclusion from the team's squad for the upcoming period.

De Zerbi has confirmed that Richarlison will not participate with Tottenham in the match against Liverpool in the third round of the English League Cup, pointing out that the Brazilian forward's situation has not changed, after the player expressed his desire to leave the club during the summer transfer window.

Following the Italian coach's statements, Richarlison posted a single word on his Instagram Stories: "Why?", accompanied by a sad emoji, in a response that seemed to reflect his bewilderment at his ongoing exclusion.

The crisis dates back to the final days of the transfer market, after Richarlison requested to leave Tottenham, amid interest from several clubs, including Everton and teams in Türkiye and Brazil. However, no deal was completed, leaving the player outside Tottenham's squad in the Premier League, despite not leaving the club.

Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that he tried to convince Richarlison to stay at the beginning of the season, but he was unsuccessful in doing so. He added that the current situation does not allow for his return to the team, which intensifies the dispute between the two parties and makes the Brazilian forward's future with Tottenham uncertain.
