Létang faces punishment for actions after Lille and Paris Saint-Germain match

LOSC Lille president Olivier Létang will appear before the disciplinary committee of Ligue 1 on Wednesday following his behavior and statements after his team's match against Paris Saint-Germain.

The incident dates back to the match between LOSC Lille and Paris Saint-Germain that ended in a 2-2 draw on August 28, after the Parisian team equalized in the dying moments of the game, which angered the president of LOSC Lille.

The National Ethics Council has referred Létang to the disciplinary committee due to his comments following the match, alongside messages he sent to Anthony Gautier, the national referee director, which were described as sometimes having an aggressive tone, with copies sent to officials from the French Football Federation and Ligue 1.

LOSC Lille's president faces allegations of failing to uphold the duties of role model and respect outlined in the football ethics charter, especially since he has previously been penalised for similar incidents. The disciplinary committee will determine the potential punishment after hearing from Létang.
