Wydad Casablanca announces resolution of bans and reveals its position on Ayat Mena
Wydad Casablanca has settled all financial obligations related to disputes that led to the issuance of an international ban against the club, confirming that the current board has taken care of all outstanding financial dues.
The club clarified, in an official statement, that the settled files relate to decisions and commitments linked to the previous management board, which was headed by Hicham Ait Menna. It noted that the payment of the outstanding amounts was made pending the completion of the necessary legal procedures to officially lift the ban imposed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
The current board of Wydad Casablanca emphasized that the settlement of these files was completed without any intervention or financial contribution from former president Hicham Ait Mana, confirming that the club's assumption of these obligations does not absolve him of responsibility.
The club indicated that its position is pending Ayat Mana's fulfillment of what he previously committed to during the meeting he held with the president of Wydad Casablanca, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and the president of the National Professional Football League.
In closing its statement, Wydad Casablanca confirmed that settling financial disputes and the ban file does not in any way mean that the club is relinquishing its rights, emphasizing that it retains its full right to defend its interests and take all measures it deems appropriate regarding this matter.
