Zlatan Ibrahimović last appeared at AC Milan's training center over six months ago, coinciding with a strong disagreement with former coach Massimiliano Allegri. Following that, the Swedish star's presence in the daily scene of the club diminished during the remainder of last season.

However, reports have confirmed that his relationship with club owner Gerry Cardinale and RedBird has not been cut off, and that his role as a senior advisor continued during his absence.

Zlatan Ibrahimović's return to Milanello comes at an important time for the team, which is preparing to face SL Benfica on Wednesday at San Siro in the opening match of their UEFA Europa League campaign.
