Ajax close to securing free transfer of Yves Bissouma

Ajax are close to signing Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma, a former Tottenham player, on a free transfer following his departure from the English club at the end of his contract this summer.

According to circulating reports, Ajax have entered advanced negotiations with Bissouma, amid the Dutch club's desire to bolster their defensive midfield position, while reports suggest there is a preliminary agreement between the two parties regarding the deal.

Yves Bissouma is 29 years old and has extensive experience in English football, having played 124 matches with Brighton and 111 matches with Tottenham. He also has 46 international appearances with the Mali national team.
