Al Nassr races against time to secure Nawaf Boushal's future
Al Nassr have opened negotiations to renew the contract of right-back Nawaf Boushal ahead of his free agency period in January, with an early move to keep the player within the ranks of 'Alami'.
Al Nassr's management is aiming to finalize negotiations in the upcoming period, instead of waiting until the final weeks of Boushal's contract, to avoid other clubs getting involved in the negotiations.
This move comes as Al Nassr aims to maintain team stability, especially since Nawaf Boushal has become an important element in the right-back position and is part of the coaching staff's plans.
The renewal file faces an important administrative step, which is obtaining the approval of the financial control committee, once a final agreement is reached with the player regarding the details of the new contract.
Nawaf Boushal has joined Al Nassr in January 2023 from Al Fateh, after the capital club's management purchased the remaining duration of his contract with his previous club.
During his time with Al Nassr, Nawaf Boushal played 131 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 18 assists, according to statistics attributed to the 'Transfermarkt' website.
Al Nassr hopes to resolve the matter early, especially with Nawaf Boushal approaching the free period, which grants him the right to negotiate and sign with any club without returning to his current club.
