Officially.. Kuwait to host Saudi Super Cup

The Saudi Football Federation has announced, through SMC Vibes, an agreement for Kuwait to host the 10th edition of the Saudi Super Cup, scheduled to take place from December 19 to 23, 2026.

A partnership agreement has been reached with Al Rai Media Group, with the signing ceremony taking place in Riyadh in the presence of Kuwait Football Association President Ahmad Al-Yusuf Al-Sabah and Saudi Football Association President Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza.

Kuwait will host the tournament at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, featuring Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al Ahly FC, and Al Qadsia. The semi-final draw will take place on October 14.

Ahmed Al-Yusuf Al-Sabah welcomed the hosting of the Saudi Super Cup, emphasizing that the tournament represents an addition to the Gulf sports scene, and pointing out the readiness to present a version that befits the participating teams.

The President of the Kuwait Football Association stated that hosting reflects the strong brotherly relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the significant interest that Saudi football enjoys among Kuwaiti fans.

Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza emphasized the importance of the Saudi Super Cup within the federation's competitions, noting that work continues to develop the tournament and enhance its audience and commercial presence.

The tournament's organization in Kuwait opens the door for expanding its presence in the Gulf region and reaching new audiences, as well as establishing partnerships that support the sustainability of football in Saudi Arabia.

SMC Vibes CEO Sultan bin Abdoul Aziz Al Sheikh stated that hosting the tournament in Kuwait represents a new phase for expanding its reach and increasing its commercial value.

Rashed bin Ali Al-Omairi, CEO of Al Rai Media Group, expressed his happiness about the partnership, confirming his eagerness to collaborate with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and SMC Vibes to produce a special edition.

Kuwait will become the eighth stop in the history of the Saudi Super Cup, having previously been hosted in Mecca, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Abha, as well as London, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong.
