Spalletti after Juventus fall: We lost balance in search of victory
Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Juventus, has admitted that his team lost their balance during the final minutes of the match against US Sassuolo, as they pushed a large number of players forward in search of victory, leading to a dramatic 3-2 defeat.
Spalletti said: "The team lost its balance in order to win the match, after we attacked with eight players. We could have scored a third goal as well, and I was the one who urged the players to go for the win, and perhaps they executed it a bit excessively."
Juventus manager added: "I maintain this positive desire to try to turn the result of the match around, but in the end, Juventus left too many spaces, and that is our responsibility," referring to the tactical error that gave US Sassuolo the chance to seal the game in the final moments.
Juventus suffered a harsh blow after squandering their lead in the closing minutes, allowing Vasilyi Adyitch to score the winning goal for US Sassuolo in stoppage time. Spalletti's team left empty-handed from a match that saw great excitement in its second half.
