Kvaratskhelia: Luis Enrique has made me more helpful to the team

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian star of Paris Saint-Germain, has confirmed that his experience with the Parisian club under coach Luis Enrique has changed a lot about his playing style and personality on the pitch, noting that he has become more keen to serve the team since joining in January 2025.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has stated in remarks to 'France Football' that the strong competition within Paris Saint-Germain has pushed him to consistently give his best, explaining: 'When I arrived here, I realized the effort the team puts in and the respect the players have for me. Therefore, I had to give my best because the team deserves it. Under Luis Enrique's leadership, I realized that I had to be at my best because every player has the potential to be a starter.'

The Georgian winger added: "If you make one mistake, you might find yourself on the bench. So I do my best to help the team in both defense and attack. I want to give everything for this club," referring to the improvement in the collective aspect of his performance since his move to the French capital.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia reflected on his best moments with Paris Saint-Germain, highlighting his assist to Ousmane Dembélé against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg in May 2026, while he considered his goal against Aston Villa in the quarter-final first leg of the competition in 2025 to be the most beautiful for him. He said about his style: "I love to take risks in football. When I have the ball, I feel like the happiest man in the world. I love to face the opponent in a one-on-one situation and try to help my team score."

Despite having a seven-week break this summer, the 25-year-old player has not yet regained his best form from the end of last season, but he continues to rely on his key strengths, including driving the ball down the left flank, cutting inside and shooting, along with his defensive contributions to help his team.
