New injury rules Assan Ouédraogo out of RB Leipzig

Assan Ouédraogo, RB Leipzig's midfielder, has suffered another injury setback after seemingly re-injuring his previous shoulder injury during his team's match against Hamburg in the Bundesliga.

Assan Ouédraogo, who is 20 years old, had to leave the pitch after 35 minutes in the match that ended with RB Leipzig winning by five goals to nil, due to an injury sustained during a challenge with Albert Grønbæk.

Martin Demichelis, RB Leipzig's coach, said after the match: "I think it's the same injury," referring to the injury that kept the player out for the entire month of August during pre-season, after he had been suffering from an injury to the right shoulder capsule.

Diemichelis added: "It doesn't look good. We need him, he is an exceptional talent for Germany and for our club," amid fears that the player could be out for several weeks.

The injury comes at a difficult time for Ouédraogo, as he is likely to miss the first squad for the Germany national team under coach Jürgen Klopp, who is preparing to announce his list for the upcoming international matches on Thursday.
