With ten players, Manchester City secures derby at Old Trafford

Manchester City have won the Manchester Derby, defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in the match that took place during the 4th round of the Premier League.

The match saw Englishman Phil Foden sent off from Manchester City in the 23rd minute after he struck Portuguese Bruno during a challenge, leaving the Sky Blues to finish the game with ten players.

Manchester United tried to score the opening goal through Marcus Rashford, but his shot hit the crossbar in the dying moments of the first half.

Despite being a man down, Manchester City managed to hold their ground, while Manchester United failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage.

Erling Haaland succeeded in scoring to put Manchester City ahead in the 60th minute, before the referee confirmed the goal's validity after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). Meanwhile, Gianluigi Donnarumma saved his goal from an equalizer in the 94th minute against Bryan Mbeumo.

With this victory, Manchester City has moved up to 12 points, placing them second in the Premier League table, just behind Arsenal on goal difference, while Manchester United remains at 4 points in 13th place.
