Gasperini: There is no hierarchy in the team and Malin has exceeded expectations

Gian Piero Gasperini, the coach of AS Roma, has stated that the match against Torino will not be easy, noting that his team is still in the process of reaching their best physical and technical condition.

The Italian coach stated that AS Roma "have just started to reach their state" after playing a UEFA Champions League match against Fenerbahçe, emphasizing that the team needs to deliver a great performance in order to secure victory.

Gasperini praised the level that Donyell Malen has been showing since arriving at AS Roma, confirming that his numbers have exceeded all expectations.

He said: "It was hard to imagine that he would achieve these numbers; they are exceptional figures. He has done something special, and the most important thing is that he has shown great consistency." He added that he knew when signing him that he would be an important player, "but what he has achieved has surpassed that now."

AS Roma's coach spoke about Rodrygo Mora, praising the great talent he possesses, but stressed the need for him to develop both physically and tactically.

Gasperini has rejected the ongoing discussion about the presence of key players and substitutes, emphasizing that there is no hierarchy. He explained that a team competing in the UEFA Champions League needs a large group of players capable of participating, and that everyone will get their chance.

Regarding the physical condition, Gasperini confirmed Lorenzo Pellegrini's return to fitness, while Manu Koné is undergoing a final assessment after a knee issue sustained against Fenerbahçe.

As for Paulo Dybala, the coach clarified that the rule for him is simple: "If he is fit, he plays," emphasizing that the player gets rest when he is tired, not because of a specific hierarchy within the team.
