Bayern Munich monitor Wirtz's situation with Liverpool
Bayern Munich are monitoring Florian Wirtz's situation with Liverpool, as the German club's interest in the player continues despite his difficult start with the team, according to TEAMtalk.
Bayern were among the main contenders to sign Florian Wirtz before his move to Liverpool for £116 million in the summer of 2025, after the Reds edged out Manchester City in the race to secure his signature.
In his first season, Wirtz scored five goals and provided three assists in 33 matches in the Premier League, but he has not been able to reach the expected level. His struggles have continued this season, as he has not scored any goals in his first five matches, managing only one assist.
The same source clarified that there are concerns within Liverpool regarding Florian Wirtz's ability to reach the level that was expected of him, but the club is not currently planning to sell him and Andoni Iraola still relies on him as part of his new project.
Bayern continues to monitor the situation regarding Florian Wirtz, with interest potentially becoming more serious if he fails to regain his form and convince Liverpool of his ability to provide the expected contribution.
