Negotiations between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Argentine Football Association have reached an impasse regarding a friendly match between the Moroccan and Argentine national teams at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat during the international break in October.

Negotiations had reached advanced stages before the Argentine Football Association decided not to play the match, preferring to hold their upcoming friendlies on Argentine soil, according to reports from Argentine journalist Verónica Brunati.

Bronatti explained that the Argentine side wishes to give local fans the opportunity to watch their national team and celebrate their players on home soil during the upcoming international break, which has led them to reconsider the schedule of planned Friendlies.

Morocco aims to host the Argentine national team, the world champions, in a strong friendly match as part of the national team's preparations for upcoming competitions, especially with coach Mohamed Wahbi's desire to face teams of the highest level and test some new players.

Bronati confirmed that the Argentine Football Association's decision is not related to the financial offer, nor does it have anything to do with any technical considerations regarding the Morocco national team, pointing out that negotiations did not stop due to financial aspects as rumored.

The Argentine Football Association is set to reorganize its international schedule according to a new strategy, which has made the match against Morocco in Rabat during the October break unavailable at this time, thus ending efforts to schedule one of the most anticipated friendlies.
