Al-Hilal achieves historic number against Al-Taawoun in Saudi Pro League

Al-Hilal thrashed their hosts Al-Taawoun 6-0 on Saturday evening in the 7th round of the Saudi Pro League, achieving a historic victory in the encounters between the two teams.

Al-Hilal has become, according to the Opta statistics network, the record holder for the most goals scored in a single match against Al-Taawoun in the Saudi Pro League, having reached six goals.

The match began with English striker Ollie Watkins opening the scoring for Al-Hilal, before the team continued to apply offensive pressure and doubled the suffering of the home side during the course of the match.

Gabriel Martinelli shone in the match, scoring three goals to complete his hat-trick and give Al-Hilal a significant advantage over Al-Taawoun.

Watkins did not stop at his first goal, as the English forward found the net again, bringing his tally in the match to two goals and contributing significantly to Al-Hilal's big win.

Sultan Mandash scored the sixth goal for Al-Hilal in the 75th minute, completing a 6-0 victory, in one of the biggest results seen in the encounters between the two teams in the Saudi Pro League.

The six-goal haul holds historical significance for Al-Hilal, surpassing the total number of goals scored in their last three encounters against Al-Taawoun combined, confirming their attacking superiority in the match.
