MAS Fes qualify for the second round of the CAF Champions League

MAS Fes have secured their place in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League after drawing 0-0 with their Burkinabé hosts Rahimo today in Ouagadougou, in the return leg of the first preliminary round.

The Moroccan team secured a 4-1 victory in the first leg, confirming their progression to the next round on aggregate, despite failing to score in the second leg.

The first half saw exchanges of attempts between the two teams, with a relative advantage at times for the home side. However, MAS Fes goalkeeper Salaheddine Chihab excelled on several occasions, keeping a clean sheet.

The competition continued in the same scenario during the second half, as both sides exchanged chances without either managing to score, resulting in a goalless draw, and MAS Fes secured their place in the second preliminary round.

MAS Fes will face the winner of the match between ASEC Mimosas and ES Kiffa in the next round, after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw, awaiting the return leg to be held in Abidjan.
