Conte rejects Al-Ahli offer and waits for the right opportunity
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Antonio Conte had the opportunity to take charge of Al-Ahli during the last summer transfer window, but the Italian coach decided to turn down the offer and not pursue a new experience in the Saudi Pro League at this stage.
Romano explained that Conte is not in a hurry at the moment and prefers to wait for the right project before making his next decision, after finishing his last experience with SSC Napoli and leading the team to win the Serie A title.
The Italian coach's stance comes amid ongoing links to several major clubs, but his priority seems to be securing a sporting project that aligns with his ambitions and technical requirements, rather than a quick return to the bench.
According to Romano, Conte will continue to wait for an offer he deems suitable, keeping his future open to several possibilities in the coming period, whether returning to European football or taking on a new experience outside the continent. Al-Ahli was one of the clubs that tried to secure his services this summer.
