Manchester City's stance on Rayan Aït Nouri's departure in January
Manchester City are planning to keep Rayan Aït Nouri during the winter transfer window, despite Manchester United's attempt to sign him on loan on the last day of the summer transfer window.
Football Insider has reported that Ayat Nouri has the trust of Enzo Maresca this season, being the only specialized left-back in Manchester City's squad, so there is no intention to allow his departure in January.
Manchester United attempted to complete a late loan deal for the player, but Manchester City refused his departure. Aymeric Laporte then came on as a substitute against FC Porto in his first appearance of the season, providing an assist for Erling Haaland.
The Algerian international is expected to receive more playing opportunities in the upcoming period, especially with Manchester City competing in four tournaments, while the player is keen to compete for his position within the team.
Aymeric Laporte provided five assists in 31 matches for Manchester City last season after moving from Wolverhampton, and the club does not expect him to leave at this time despite not getting the minutes he hoped for.
