Endrick nears official participation amid fierce competition for his position

Brazilian Endrick, forward for Real Madrid, is nearing a return to competitive matches with the royal team, amid anticipation for his first appearance of the season, after having played several matches during the pre-season.

Endrick was expected to play an important role in Real Madrid's lineup this season, especially after the departure of Gonzalo García, as he was seen as the first alternative to Kylian Mbappé, with the possibility of being called upon when the team needs to increase the number of attackers on the pitch.

However, Endrick's return comes in more difficult circumstances, as a muscle injury has cast uncertainty over the timing of his first appearance this season. It seems that the match against Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for Saturday evening at the Santiago Bernabéu, could be the Brazilian forward's return date, although his participation is unlikely to be for a long period.

José Mourinho has clarified his position on Endrick ahead of the match against Inter Milan, stating: "He is ready to play for five or ten minutes at most."

Endrick faces a tough challenge to secure a starting spot in Real Madrid's lineup, especially with the strong competition on the right flank, where Mourinho has several options in this position, led by Arda Güler, who has received the most playing time at the start of the season, alongside Brahim Díaz, who has performed well when given the opportunity.

Yan Diomande is competing strongly for the same position, despite the player arriving for €125 million not yet securing a regular starting spot. Endrick has an additional advantage in his ability to move more compared to Esbi, but the abundance of attacking options makes his path to regular participation more difficult.

Despite the tough competition, Mourinho has sent a clear message regarding Endrick's future with Real Madrid, having rejected the idea of his departure during the summer despite offers for his services.

The Portuguese coach previously stated: "There were many offers, but I did not want to loan or sell him because I like him." Mourinho sees that Endrick possesses the abilities that can be utilized throughout the season, but his return will be gradual, especially after a long absence.

Endrick is expected to start getting limited minutes against Rayo Vallecano, before his participation gradually increases in upcoming matches, as he is considered by Mourinho as an additional attacking option for Real Madrid.
