Mbappé responds to images comparing him to dictators

Kylian Mbappé, the star of Real Madrid, has commented on the mocking images and memes circulating on social media that depict him as a dictator, stating that the way to deal with them varies depending on their content and intent.

Mbappé said in statements to the newspaper 'L'Équipe': 'There is a funny side, because you realize that for some people it is just innocent teasing and carries no bad intention.'

He added: "But there is another side that is less funny, because we know the extent of the damage caused by people of this kind throughout history."

The captain of the French national team stated: "To be compared to killers, or to people who have made millions and millions of people live in misery, is something I don't think I have done in my life."

Mbappé concluded his statements by saying: "Sometimes, this reflects a lack of political and humanitarian awareness among some people."
