Chelsea officially announces Pedro Neto contract renewal
Chelsea have officially renewed the contract of Portuguese winger Pedro Neto, keeping him at the club until 2032. This move confirms the club's commitment to one of its key players in recent years.
Pedro Neto has joined Chelsea from Wolverhampton in August 2024, and since arriving at Stamford Bridge, he has become a key player for the team, having played 108 matches for the Blues, contributing to 40 goals through scoring and assisting.
The Portuguese player was a key figure in Chelsea's triumphs in the UEFA Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, scoring three goals during the FIFA Club World Cup that the team won on the global stage.
Pedro Neto, aged 26, continues to impress with Chelsea during the current season, having scored two goals so far, including a stunning strike against Leeds United on Wednesday, which completed his team's swift comeback in the EFL Cup.
Following the signing of his new contract, Neto expressed his great happiness at continuing with Chelsea, saying: "It's an unbelievable moment. Since I arrived, I've always felt that the people here have helped me a lot. I feel that this place has become my home, and I feel that I want to achieve more things here. I've experienced some wonderful moments here as a group and as an individual, and now I want to live more of those moments. I'm extremely excited because I believe we can achieve a lot of things together."
After two seasons with Chelsea, Neto has proven his ability to play in multiple positions, having featured on the wings, been deployed as a false nine, and played in the number 10 role, in addition to playing as a wing-back.
One of his standout moments in his first season was scoring his first Premier League goal for Chelsea against Arsenal, before netting a dramatic goal against Fulham at Craven Cottage that secured his team three valuable points in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification. His goal against Fulham was awarded Chelsea's Goal of the Season for 2024-2025, following a fan vote.
Chelsea hope that Neto will continue to deliver impressive performances in the coming years, having become an important part of the club's project, ensuring that the Portuguese player remains with them until the summer of 2032.
