Official: FC Barcelona announces contract extension for Hamza Abdelkarim
FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim on a new contract until June 30, 2030, allowing the player to continue his career with the Catalan team.
FC Barcelona has announced via its official website that it has reached an agreement with Hamza Abdelkarim, with the contract set to be signed officially on September 15 in the office of club president Juan Laporta.
Hamza Abdelkarim is set to speak to the media at the club's commercial office following the signing of the contract.
Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim joined FC Barcelona on 1 February on loan until the end of the season, and made his debut with the under-19 team on 8 March against Osasuna, scoring a goal during the match.
Hamza Abdelkarim has made a striking impact with the team, scoring 9 goals in just 6 league matches, including a hat-trick in the 9-0 victory over Monte Carlo, a match that saw FC Barcelona crowned champions of the Honor League.
In the summer of 2026, FC Barcelona signed Hamza Abdelkarim on a permanent deal before the striker joined the first team during the preparation period under coach Hans Flick.
Egyptian player Hamza Abdelkarim scored four goals during the pre-season, becoming FC Barcelona's top scorer in friendly matches, before playing his first official match with the first team against Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou on August 31, 2026.
