Colombian club Atletico Nacional has announced the signing of Colombian star James Rodríguez, in a move the club described as the result of long work and ongoing efforts to strengthen the team.

The club stated in a message via its official accounts: "Here there is no announcement, but work for the love of this team. Daily work carried out by a large group of people in silence, so that Nacional becomes greater day by day."

Atletico Nacional added: "When the club works for the club, greatness is not just a speech, but becomes an inevitable result."

The club concluded its message by highlighting the confidence surrounding the deal, stating: "They trusted, believed, and it was inevitable," before sending a message to James Rodríguez: "James Rodríguez is Atlético Nacional... the greatest to the greatest."
