Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich's head coach, spoke after the 5-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the match held on Tuesday evening at the Allianz Arena, as part of the first round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.

Vincent Kompany said: "The first half was somewhat similar to the Schalke match. We had to be patient. We didn't have many chances, but there were moments when we could have scored two goals. In the second half, we scored at the right time, and then the goals came. It was a deserved win."

The coach spoke about Jamal Musiala's return to scoring, saying: "Everyone was happy for him, 75,000 people in the stadium and fans in front of their television screens. We knew his moment would come, he scored a very important goal. This is great for Jamal, and we hope that the focus now is only on his level and performance. He knows how to handle the other matter, and he will continue to receive all our support."

Regarding the team's situation after the first matches of the season: We are in a good position. We still have players regaining their rhythm. The counter-pressing, the pressing, and the energy are positive aspects. There is still room for improvement in terms of quality and details, and we are working on that.

Jamal Musiala's presence in top physical condition is a boost compared to last season, when we played most of the season without him. Alphonso Davies is also regaining his rhythm. But as always, each match has its own story. We will see what happens in the upcoming matches.
