Ramon Alvarez has revealed the reasons behind José Mourinho's delay in relying on winger Jan Diomande at Real Madrid, despite the high expectations surrounding his arrival at the royal team.

Alvarez explained that Arda Güler's brilliance is one of the main reasons for Diomande's delayed participation, as the Turkish player is delivering strong performances in the right winger position. He also plays an important role in linking the midfield and attack, which makes changing the current balance of the team a difficult task.

Mourinho prefers to rely on players like Brahim Díaz, given their ability to provide the team with greater balance in midfield, which reflects on the coach's tactical options and starting lineup during matches.

The report indicated that Diomandé has also struggled to train separately, which has affected his integration with the group, especially after arriving late to the preparation period, meaning he needs more time to reach the required readiness.

Mourinho wants to maintain team stability by relying on the core players that formed Real Madrid last season before making significant changes to the lineup and giving new players bigger roles.

Therefore, Mourinho's delay in relying on Diomande does not mean he is out of the Portuguese coach's plans, but rather relates to the coaching staff's desire not to rush, to maintain the team's balance, and to give the player enough time to integrate and reach the best possible readiness.
