Juventus considering contract renewal for Nico González
Juventus are considering extending the contract of Argentine Nico González, in a surprising turn after the player was on the list of departures from the club for most of the summer transfer window.
Nico González, 28, was close to leaving Torino this summer and wanted to return to Atlético to work again with Diego Simeone after his previous loan spell.
However, with the deal not being completed before the transfer window closed, the former ACF Fiorentina winger focused on coach Luciano Spalletti's plans and quickly proved his worth at the start of the season.
Nico González scored after coming on as a substitute against Parma, before delivering a promising performance during 64 minutes against Milan. His ability to play as a winger, second striker, or attacking midfielder has made him an important asset in Spalletti's plans.
According to "Avs Futebol", Nico González feels reintegrated into the team after receiving strong support from his teammates and Spalletti, which has prompted him to open negotiations regarding a new contract.
Nico González's current contract with Juventus runs until June 2029, with a net salary of €3.6 million per year, while the club is considering extending the contract for an additional period.
