Real Madrid prepares to renew Güler's contract

Real Madrid are preparing to sign a new contract with Turkish player Arda Güler, in recognition of his development and current standing within the team, especially over the last few months.

AS reports that the club plans to extend Güler's contract until 2031, with a salary increase, effective from the start of the current season.

Güler joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 at the age of 18, signing a contract that runs until June 2029, but he has now become an important player in José Mourinho's plans.

Mourinho believes that Güler is performing at his best in the attacking midfield position, close to the penalty area, while excluding him from the central midfield role that he prefers for players like Bernardo Silva, Valverde, Camavinga, and Tchouaméni.

Last season, Güler played 51 matches, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists, while he has participated in all four of Real Madrid's LaLiga matches this season, scoring one goal and assisting another, missing out on the UEFA Champions League due to suspension.
