Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in their UEFA Champions League opener, in a match that saw both goalkeepers shine. However, Giuseppe Martinez, the Italian team's goalkeeper, made a mistake that led to Real Madrid's second goal scored by Fede Valverde.

Despite his mistake, Martínez continued to shine and made several strong saves, including stopping a clear attempt from Jude Bellingham, who missed a clear chance to score after the goalkeeper saved his shot.

The chance came after a brilliant attack from Brahim Díaz, who evaded the Inter players trying to stop him before sending the ball to Bellingham, but the English player was unable to turn it into a goal.

After the match, Brahim Díaz shared a photo on his social media accounts of the moment he passed the ball to Bellingham, celebrating Real Madrid's victory in the UEFA Champions League.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Bellingham responded to a post from his teammate with the phrase "Sorry, my friend", apologising for wasting the opportunity that Brahim created for him during the match.
