Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has confirmed Morocco's position regarding the stadium it hopes to host the final match of the FIFA World Cup 2030, stating that the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane is the candidate to host the final encounter.

Statements from Fouzi Lekjaa came during a communication meeting organized by the Authenticity and Modernity Party in the city of Bouznika, where he discussed Morocco's preparations for participating in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2030 alongside Spain and Portugal.

Fouad Lajouad announced during the meeting: "What you should know is that the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane is where the final match of the FIFA World Cup 2030 will be held, and God willing, the final will be between Morocco and France so that we can restore our honor."

The president's remarks come amid ongoing debate over the stadium that will host the final match, especially with the Spanish capital Madrid entering the competition alongside Morocco for the honor of hosting the tournament's most important matches.

The Hassan II Stadium is a massive project.

The Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane is one of Morocco's key sports projects in preparation for hosting the FIFA World Cup 2030, with work underway to make it one of the largest stadiums in the world.

Morocco has included the Hassan II Stadium in the list of venues proposed to host matches for the FIFA World Cup, alongside stadiums in Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, Rabat, and Fez.

The project aims to provide a world-class sports facility capable of hosting major matches, including the final match of the tournament, according to the vision revealed by Lekjaa.

Fouzi Lekjaa hopes for a final between Morocco and France.

The president of the Moroccan Football Federation did not stop at identifying the stadium where Morocco wishes to host the final, but also revealed his hope that the final match would be between the Moroccan national team and the French national team.

This wish is linked to the encounter between the two teams in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which saw Morocco exit the tournament.

Moroccan ambitions are reflected in statements from Fouzi Lekjaa ahead of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2030, which will be organized by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, alongside celebratory matches in South American countries to mark the 100th anniversary of the FIFA World Cup.

Has the final stadium been officially selected?

Despite Fouzi Lekjaa's confirmation that the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane will host the final of the FIFA World Cup 2030, FIFA has not yet officially announced the stadium that will host the final match.

Thus, the statements of the president of the federation express the Moroccan vision and ambition to host the final match at the Hassan II Stadium, while the final decision regarding the distribution of matches in the tournament and the determination of the final stadium remains the responsibility of the organizing bodies.

The distribution of matches for the 2030 FIFA World Cup is expected to attract increasing attention in the coming period, amid competition between several stadiums in Morocco, Spain, and Portugal to host the major encounters.
