Marc Bernal proves his ability to play alongside Rodri at FC Barcelona
Marc Bernal, a player for FC Barcelona, proved his ability to harmonize with Rodri during their participation against Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League, as the two players shared the pitch for the first time this season.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Bernal entered the match in the 63rd minute, initially positioning himself a few meters ahead of Rodri, in the area usually occupied by Pedri.
Marc Bernal occupied the central midfield position on the right side and showed positively through his movements and passing exchanges, before his role changed after Gavi came on for Rodri in the 83rd minute.
Bernal then dropped back to the pivot position, a role he occupied in the two matches he started this season.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Marc Bernal previously played as a central midfielder during last season, and he also appeared as an attacking midfielder against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stage, reflecting his multiple roles in midfield.
The 20 minutes that Marc Bernal played alongside Rodri provided an opportunity to learn from one of the best holding midfielders currently. The two players also showed against Hans Flick the possibility of them playing together in the midfield of FC Barcelona, despite having similar characteristics in their playing style.
